Your doctor may increase your dose of AUSTEDOeach week for several weeks, in order to find the dose that is appropriate for you. This process is known as titration. It's important to follow your doctor's instructions during this process.

Taking AUSTEDO as prescribed

Once you have started treatment with AUSTEDO, it is very important that you continue to take AUSTEDO exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Treating your TD can be complicated. Sometimes it’s difficult to follow all of your doctor’s instructions. Use these treatment tips to help ensure you take AUSTEDO as prescribed:

  • Set a routine
    • Create and follow a dosing routine. Remember that AUSTEDO must be taken exactly as prescribed.
    • You can set an alarm as a treatment reminder.
    • Keep your AUSTEDO tablets in the same place so you know where they are.
  • Record your treatment
    • Use the Teva’s Shared Solutions Daily Treatment and Activity log to record when AUSTEDO is taken and any questions you may have for your doctor.
  • Take AUSTEDO as prescribed
    • Before starting AUSTEDO, you should talk to your doctor about what to do if you miss a dose.
    • Tell your doctor if you stop taking AUSTEDO for more than 1 week. Do not take another dose until you talk to your doctor.
